Urgent Petition to Congress:

To: Members of the United States Congress

We, the undersigned citizens of the United States, urge Congress to take immediate action to curb FBI misconduct and prevent its continued weaponization of the law. The ongoing prosecution of Rachel Cherwitz and Nicole Daedone in United States v. Cherwitz highlights severe abuses of power that threaten fundamental constitutional rights. The FBI's actions in this case demonstrate a pattern of overreach, prosecutorial misconduct, and politically motivated targeting that undermines public trust in our justice system. Further, the involvement of Netflix in shaping the prosecution’s narrative raises alarming questions about media collusion in federal investigations.

We demand accountability for the following violations: Manipulation of evidence and Netflix collusion, abuse of prosecutorial power, violation of constitutional rights, and lack of oversight and accountability. We call on Congress to launch a full investigation into these abuses, including Netflix’s role in influencing prosecutions, hold hearings to expose misconduct, and implement legislative and executive reform to ensure the FBI operates within bounds and upholds the tenets and spirit of our justice department.
