Why I Care About This Case
The idea for Eros on Trial was born during Omari’s tenure as a ghostwriter and editor for Great Works Publishing. Beginning in 2021, he edited writings and philosophical works associated with OneTaste and its founder, Nicole Daedone. While immersed in this project, Omari became captivated by the escalating media frenzy and the subsequent legal battles involving OneTaste, Daedone, and former sales leader Rachel Cherwitz. Recognizing the complex interplay of media sensationalism and prosecutorial overreach, Omari resigned from his editorial position to pursue an independent investigation into the case.
Eros on Trial is an incisive critique of the media-driven government investigation and criminal prosecution of OneTaste. It examines how cultural biases, journalistic negligence, and a controversial federal case converged to construct a narrative that challenges foundational principles of justice and free expression. Through factual reporting, rigorous analysis and historical and cultural criticism, Eros on Trial seeks to illuminate the broader implications of this landmark case for media integrity, legal fairness, and societal norms surrounding unconventional practices.
